- I grew up on a farm near Huron, SD, the middle child
of 3 girls. I enjoyed spending time on the farm and running Cross
Country and Track at Huron High School and playing piano. I
graduated from SDSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in History
Education, and a double minor in Music and Biology. I have been at
Chester Area School since 2007 and previously taught in the Howard
School District. I enjoy cooking/eating (more eating),
gardening/canning during the summer, running, and spending time with my
4 boys (3 little ones and 1 adult!!).
- Ryan and I married in 2001 and we live on a
farm between Winfred and Howard. He stays busy dealing with our
200 head of cattle as well as preparing bulls, heifers, and calves for
the show circuit. We also plant corn and beans, but he would
rather be AI'ing and calving. He is also part of Callies Angus and
works hard getting bulls ready for sale and all aspects of that
industry.
- Lane is 13 years old and
spends much of his time pestering the middle son. He enjoys
playing football in the fall, wrestling during the winter, track in
the spring and baseball in the summer.
He is also active in 4H and showing cattle.
- Tate is 10 and is the
busy body of the family. He constantly is talking about something
and asking why and what. He enjoys being outside playing with
tractors and trucks. He enjoys playing baseball, wrestling, and
football. He is also involved in showing cattle. He loves being on the farm.
- Gabe is now 7 and is
active in baseball and wrestling. He is a true farmer and
spends every moment possible out on the farm.
